Halloween Practice

Yesterday we had Haunted Halls at the pediatrician's office. This year, Blake is Nemo and Kylie is a Lady Bug. Aaron had class so I had the kids by myself with the help from my sister Kristin and her husband Jeremy. This year Austin is Buzz Lightyear and Katie is a (very pretty) princess. As we were entering the Haunted Halls, Blake got VERY scared and started crying and cried the entire way through. He was SCARED TO DEATH! Needless to say, I'm not sure if we will go back next year.

My attempt to get a picture of all four of them.

Austin and Katie...I mean Princess and Buzz.

Blake looking at the candy Nana got him.

Kylie wondering why I am taking so many pictures.

My best friend's little girl, Aislin...I mean Ms. Froggy.

Shop Til You Drop!

This past weekend, me, my mom, my sister, my mom's best friend Tina, and her daughters Candie and Nicole went on our annual shopping trip. This was our 7th year doing this! I think that is pretty amazing. Our usual places are Nashville, Jeffersonville/Dayton (Ohio), and Mall of America. This year we visited Jeffersonville/Dayton to help their economy :) Trust me at least I did. I got most of my Christmas shopping done! We also got to visit my brother Jonathan who is attending the University of Dayton Law School. It was great to eat dinner with him and his girlfriend, Laura.

The outlet shopping up there is AMAZING! It is about 1 hour north of Cincinnati so if you have the opportunity, you must visit it!

This is a picture of all of us as we were getting ready to leave. The car is packed full, even with the topper!

I had a great time and I can't wait for our trip next year, no matter where we go!

I LOVE FALL!

Last week I wanted to take the kids to the local pumpkin patch to eat dinner, get some pumpkins and see the animals. We had a great time and I got some pictures of the kids.

Blake loved feeding the ducks!

Kylie was eating the bread we brought for the ducks!

She looks so big in this picture!

Uncle Brad and Kylie.

I love this picture of him talking to the ducks :)

Bag Lady

I thought it was so cute tonight when I cought Kylie carrying around a bag on her arm. I grabbed the camera and thankfully caught it!

Pretty Girl :)

This was my attempt to get a picture of the kids together. I tried!

And this is what the living room looks like after the kids go to bed. It's actually not bad tonight!

Blake Update

I haven't given an update on Blake lately so I wanted give one. Since he received tubes in September he has been doing awesome! Just within a month, I have seen a major improvements with his speech and the number of words he uses. It's so sad but there are times he looks at me like he can actually hear me when he didn't before! Even his speech therapists said this.

So with this being said, Blake needs your prayers! I am going to start working with him really hard in the evening with his words. Someone once told me that it will just 'click' with him and he will take off.....so pray that this happens. I know it is so hard for him to communicate with us to tell us what he is feeling or wanting. It is also very hard for Aaron and I to know what he needs/wants. We have to guess and hope it is the right thing. Sometimes he can tell us if we are right and other times he lets us know that we got it wrong :)

Thank you for your prayers!

Stream of Consciousness

The last few weeks have been so crazy. We have been so busy and at night, I am trying to decide whether to go to sleep or get caught up on things. So tonight, I want to get caught up on my blog. One of which I have been neglecting by choice since my kids, hubby, family, work and school come first. Don't get me wrong, for the past 9 months I have loved blogging....but now it seems to be on the back burner. So here goes. Since the blog hasn't been updated since the first day of vacation, I need to get caught up on everything that has been happening. I cannot it's been so long since I have updated it! Where has the time gone??
First, vacation was great. I need a couple more weeks of vacation now. I do get a day this Friday which I am pumped about! (I will explain later). The kids were better than expected on the car ride to and from North Myrtle Beach. We have a dual DVD player in the car (which I highly recommend for those with kiddos who are traveling). We watched Shrek, Cars, Ice Age, Happy Feet, and I think Cars a couple more times. Can you guess what Blake is into now? Yep, he LOVES Cars. Try to come up with a Halloween costume for that! The kids liked the beach. They didn't love it at first but I think they started to by the end of the week. Kylie liked eating sand and Blake would run to the water then run away from it when it got close. I think he was pretty intimidated by it. Hopefully next time he will love it.
While on vacation, Kylie took off with her walking. She is pretty much walking most of the time now. She hasn't quite figured out how to get up without pulling up on something yet, but I think that is coming soon. She chases Blake (and Jackson)everywhere! Speaking of, Jackson LOVED the beach. The pictures did it no justice....he was so excited to be at the beach and would cry to go down to the water everyday.
While there, we went to Ripley's Aquarium. We had a good time and I think Blake like all the fish. He even gave the sting rays his Car! HaHa! Yes he through his car into the sting rays and the worker had to fish it out. Kind of embarrassing but whatever. It happens!

When we got back from vacation it was back to reality. While on vacation I didn't have work to think about, but I had tons of work for school that I was doing every night. Not one bit fun! It is a hybrid class so we had the beginning of class in the classroom and the second half is virtual. Really it is postings each week on WSJ articles and a major Legal and Ethical Research Paper. You really have to be on top of things to keep up with the class. There is always something due without someone reminding you about it. I look at the syllabus at least 3 times a day.
This past weekend we went to Lexington for Aaron's 10 year high school reunion. It was fun! Most of the beginning of the reunion we were all around the TV watching Kentucky BEAT #10 South Carolina!! It was an awesome game! We also got to go out before with Aaron's brother and his wife for dinner which was nice.

This weekend is going to be fabulous. My sister, my mom and myself go on a shopping trip every year with my mom's best friend and her 2 daughters to do some Christmas shopping. I have Friday off of work and we are heading up to Dayton, Ohio. We get to go to the AWESOME outlets in Jeffersonville, Ohio! If you have never been there and you live close, it is a must! We also get to see my little brother (not really little - he is taller than me and 27 years old). He goes to law school at the University of Dayton where he is in his second year. I am so proud of him! I miss him so much!!! The kiddos will be at home with Aaron and my mother-in-law so they will be in good hands. I will miss them!!

Also lately we have been dealing with some sickness with the kids. Kylie had strep through and an ear infection the week before we went on vacation then Blake got it the week after we got back. Kylie is still not 100% back to normal and Blake is almost there. Hopefully this is all of the illness we will have to deal with this season. I doubt it but I must be positive!

Sshheeeeew! That was a lot of updating! Now I haveto get off of here so I can get on a conference call for my group for school....we get to write an ethical dilemma together! I know...sounds like fun, uh? :)

I hope everyone has a great week! I hope to get back into updating this more often!

Kylie Dancing

I have to share this video of Kylie from last week. She is really started to walk so much more and there was music on so she was walking around the living room and doing her little dance with her arm. It was so cute!

VACATION!!!

We are on vacation this week in Myrtle Beach and I know it is going to be a great week! I wanted to post some pictures for our family back home since this was Kylie's first trip to the beach and Blake's second.

These were taken the on Saturday when we arrived. It was late but we wanted to take the kids down to the beach.

Jackson LOVED it!

These were taken today when we went down to the beach. Kylie loved the sand and Blake was scared to get in the water :)

More to come!!!
