60 Years

I just had to share this sweet picture. Yesterday by paternal grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! PRETTY.DARN.AMAZING. 60 years....WOW!

I was talking to my mamaw this morning and she said "Yeah I still love him after all these years. We get into arguments, but we still love each other." I thought that was so cute! I guess that is true....as long as you love each other, those little arguments throughout the years don't really matter :)

So Thankful!

There are not enough words to describe how thankful and blessed I am. If I tried to list everything out, it would take me days. So since I really don't have time to sit here and list every single thing I am thankful for, I wanted to mention just a few.

~ God
~ Supportive and loving parents & grandparents (mine and Aaron's)
~ Diet Mountain Dew
~ My iPhone
~ Soldiers
~ Awesome siblings and their significant others (mine and Aaron's)
~ DVR
~ Our home
~ All our other amazing family members and friends (mine and Aaron's)
~ The pizza delivery man
~ A job that I love
~ A hubby who is an amazing daddy (and hubby)
~ Two perfect, loving, healthy kiddos

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

This is one of my favorite pictures of the kids. It is the day that Kylie was born and Blake looks so sweet looking at her!

Catch-Up, 2 Great Weekends

I have a lot of catching up to do! It has been a busy two weeks and I am typing this as we are driving back from a weekend in Gatlinburg. It was a nice relaxing weekend away with some great friends who we haven’t seen in awhile.

Last weekend wasn’t too busy. I got to meet two of my best friends for brunch on Sunday then we went to Churchill Downs with my family.

This was our awesome view from our indoor box.

Kristin, Me and Mom

This weekend we both took off on Friday and dropped the kids off a daycare and headed to meet some friends at a cabin in Gatlinburg. We had a nice relaxing weekend and did a lot of catching up and a little shopping. Here is the one and only picture I took in Gatlinburg before my camera died. We took a group picture which someone else had so I will add later.

This was the view from on deck at the cabin.

Here are some other pictures that were on my camera of the kiddos that I took last Thursday, just out of the bath.

This week is going to be short and sweet. I have to work on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but luckily since I have an awesome boss, I am working from home on Wednesday. Wednesday we are getting DirectTV installed and also Blake has his fall party at school and I am going. I am really excited because I haven’t gotten to see him really interact with the other kids in his class. My sister will also be there since my niece is in his class.

Everyone is off on Thursday and I am also off on Friday. The kids will be staying with their grandparents in Kentucky so it will be the perfect opportunity for me to put up all of the Christmas decorations and maybe do a little work on my paper for school. It should be a great week!

I hope everyone has a good week! I know I will!

Christmas Card Time!

Is it really that time of year again? I LOVE Christmas time and being around family and getting some time off of work. I get so excited about the Christmas cards I send out as well. Ever since Aaron and I have been married I have sent out picture cards and each year I have ordered from Shutterfly. When I heard that they were offering 50 FREE cards to bloggers who blog about, I knew I was going to jump right on it!!

Since the kids were born, I have loved picking out pictures to put on the cards. I haven't chosen which pictures of the kids to use yet, but I have found a few cards on Shutterfly that LOVE!

I love the simplicity of this one.

I love this one, however I only have two kids :)

This may be our Christmas card this year! I love it!

I will keep you updated when I finally pick one!

ps...if you would like to find out more on how you can earn 50 FREE cards from Shutterfly, CLICK HERE.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Since it's Wednesday and I haven't had a chance to link up to Jaime 'What I'm Loving Wednesday' before, I thought I would jump on the opportunity since I have some time tonight!

Here is my short list of some of the things I am loving right now.

1. I am LOVING this weather! This past week it has been in the 60's which I think is perfect. I love wearing my winter jackets and jeans - especially since it is open enrollment time at work and we can wear jeans from now until February!

2. I am LOVING my parents and my in-laws. I am so fortunate to have two sets of parents who love all of us and would do anything for us.

3. I am LOVING that the majority of my class this semester is over! I still have a huge research project that is due when we have our final, but the daily stuff is completed!!! YEA!!!!

4. I am LOVING that it is almost Christmas! I recently got most of shopping done on our annual shopping trip which is great. I still have a few things I need to pick up for Santa and for our parents and grandparents.

5. I am LOVING this necklace and I have asked Santa for one. I LOVE THE VINTAGE PEARL!

6. I am LOVING my kiddos. Aaron is in class two nights a week which means I am a single parent for the night, but it is totally worth it. (This picture is one that I took when trying to get them both to look at the camera. It's so hard at this age!)

Happy Wednesday!!!

Happy Halloween!

We such a great weekend. Pretty relaxing with only a few places to go! Saturday by cousin Corey got married and his wedding was beautiful. His bride Sara was absolutely beautiful as well.

Kristin, my cousin Lauren and I

Sunday we had trick or treating so we went out in my sister's neighborhood. Blake did so good going up to the houses by himself (with some help from Austin and Katie). He was so excited that he couldn't wait to eat his suckers! (ps I am extremely sore today from all of the hills in her neighborhood!) I think my little lady bug and Nemo had a good time!

We also received some news this morning about a cousin of mine who was involved in a terrible accident. Please pray for him and my family and his girlfriend who is a very good friend of mine. She is also pregnant with their first baby girl who is due in December. The next three days are very critical for him so please pray.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
